E-mail can be accessed by several standard mail protocols. E-mail can also be accessed by web-based e-mail.
We'll assume your Internet domain is "mydomain.com".
• Your POP mail protocol1 server is located at: pop.mydomain.com
• Your IMAP mail protocol2 server is located at: imap.mydomain.com
• Your SMTP mail protocol3 server is located at: smtp.mydomain.com
For simplicity's sake, you can access all e-mail protocol functions as mail.mydomain.com.
To access your mail by one of the standard e-mail protocols, just set up your e-mail client program, and sign in to your mail server with a username of "YourE-MailUserName@mydomain.com" and that user's password.
To access web-based e-mail, just go to "http://www.mydomain.com/webmail". You must similarly log in with the username of "YourE-MailUserName@mydomain.com" (yes, use the full e-mail address as the login name) and that user's appropriate password.
Footnotes:
1 Spartacus Systems' servers supports both plain POP3 (port 110) and POP3-secure (POP3 over TLS/SSL, port 995).
2 Spartacus Systems' servers supports both plain IMAP (port 143) and IMAP-secure (IMAP4 over TLS/SSL, port 993).
3 Spartacus Systems' servers use both plain SMTP (port 25) and SMTP-secure (port 587) to allow you and your users to send outgoing mail. To help prevent Spam and for security, to send outgoing mail users have to authenticate with the same login of "YourE-MailUserName@mydomain.com" (full e-mail address) and password.
